Me: (n) Wiz Khalifa's Security

One thing I didn't leave back in 2015 was my Publicity Intern position at Atlantic Records, I know I know I've been fake busy/MIA and I haven't discussed last semester since Halloween but I'll get into that soon.

KHALIFA is the upcoming project from Wiz that just dropped today and it's not your typical album. The LP is a collection of the songs Wiz wasn't able to put on his upcoming album Rolling Papers 2, which comes out later this year. The listening party for KHALIFA was the other night and to me it sounds like a prequel to the different sounds Wiz is going for in RP2.

I worked the event and was stationed to oversee Wiz's VIP section:

3. LOL @ me overseeing his section, like what is my authoritative role here?

Outside of the Atlantic employees who worked on the project, only press were allowed to the listening party. BANG BANG the tattoo artist was laying down little masterpieces on some guests, bowls of RAW + Wiz rolling papers and matching lighters were in arm's reach, and of course there was the two party essentials, open bar and a photo/gif booth.

Wiz comes thru with MUVA and he gives a nice speech sending out thank you's and blessings to all who helped with KHALIFA. Wiz's toast is consummated with a freshly lit jay the size of an infant's arm. He takes a pull, passes it to his boy in the crowd, homeboy takes a hit and passes it back to Wiz...

WIZ IS ABOUT TO HAND THE JAY TO SOMEONE AND THAT SOMEONE IS ME AND I LOOKED AWAY BECAUSE NAH CHILL I WANT TO BE ABLE TO WALK INTO ATLANTIC TOMORROW AND STILL HAVE AN ACTIVE EMAIL. ~ also because drugs are illegal ~

All in all I declined a trip to whatever dimension Wiz's weed was going to take me and I got the chance to chop it up and network with some industry people outside of Atlantic. It was v interesting seeing Amber Rose, Michael Strahan and Busta Rhymes all at the same location on a Wednesday night... typing that was kinda weird because wtf.
